Quotes of Faith

Quotes of Faith

Today I'm too lazy to think and write ....... but I found some notes from my old book containing the advice of Islamic scholars on the right guidance in the lives of hundreds of years ago but still remains in effect to this day.

So just do copy and paste, so that the order of inter-related and mutually supporting each other.]
Enjoy the reading……………. .

“Ward off passing thoughts, for if you do not, they will become ideas. Ward off ideas, for if you do not, they will become desires. Fight the desires, for if you do not, they will become resolve and determination.

And if you do not ward them off, they will become actions. If you do not resist them with its opposite, they will become habits. And it will be difficult for you to get rid of them.” Imam ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya

“Before you act, consider what you are doing and why; whom you are acting for? Stir up a sense of thankfulness, a sense of longing, hope, fear, slavehood. Bring to mind the majesty, tremendousness, beauty and mercy of Allah. And then begin your action.

So that moment before you act, the moment in which you turn your heart to Allah is of the greatest moments of your life.
And if we make ourselves accustomed to keep striving to turn to Allah in those precious moments we’ll find that our lives will be colored with the dye of spiritual favour from Allah.

We’ll find our hearts and our entire life being enveloped in divine assistance and divine favour. And we’ll find light and serenity and contentment in our life.” Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Whatever you have in your mind: forget it!, Whatever you have in your hand: give it!
Whatever is to be your fate: face it!  Abu Sa'id

"Man's fear of Allah is equal to his knowledge of Him, and his renunciation of the life of this world is equal to his desire of the Hereafter. Whoever acts according to what he knows, Allah will make him successful in what he doesn't know. And whoever is ill-tempered disgraces his honor, religion and generosity."  Al-Fudayl ibn Iyad

‘I complained to Imam Waqee’ of my weak memory; he advised me to abstain from sins; for, verily, knowledge is a nur from Allah; and this nur of Allah is not awarded to sinners.’"Knowledge is not what is memorized. Knowledge is what benefits."    Imam Shafi’ee

"As long as people are doing fine, their true nature is concealed, but when calamity strikes, their true natures are revealed, so the believer resorts to his faith and the hypocrite resorts to his hypocrisy."  Al-Fudayl ibn Iyad ~

"The ailment of the body is in sickness and that of the heart is in sins. A delicious meal cannot benefit the body when the person is sick and likewise, the heart cannot taste the sweetness of worship if it is full of sins."  Dhu'n-Noon al-Misri ~

"Seek (beneficial) knowledge, because seeking it for the sake of Allaah is a worship. And knowing it makes you more God-fearing; and searching for it is jihad, teaching it to those who do not know is charity, reviewing and learning it more is like tasbeeh. Through knowledge Allaah will be known and worshipped."  Ibn Taymiyyah ~
"Worrying about the dunya is a darkness in the heart, while worrying about the akhirah is a light in the heart." Uthman ibn Affan ~

"The life of this world is made up of three days: yesterday has gone with all that was done; tomorrow, you may never reach; but today is for you so do what you should do today." Hasan Al-Basri

He (Allah) made the Hereafter an abode to reward his believing servants only because this world cannot contain what He wishes to bestow upon them and because He deemed their worth too high to reward them in a world without permanence. Ibn Ata'Allah

A believer might be rewarded for their intention more than then the action of the actual deed. Imam ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya

Read the advice of Imam Ibn Al-Jawzi To His Son:
"Know, dear son,
that days are but hours,
and hours are but breaths,
and every soul is a container,
hence let not any breath pass without any benefit,
such as on the Day of Judgment you find an empty container and feel regret!
Be aware of every hour and how it passes,
and only spend it in the best possible way;
do not neglect yourself,
but render it accustomed to the noblest and best of actions,
and send to your grave that which will please you when you arrive to it."

“The one who longs for Paradise will rush towards good deeds; the one who dreads Hell will put an end to his vices; the one who has firm conviction in [the imminent arrival of] death will lose all his passions; and the one who really knows the dunya will find disasters easy to bear.” Ali ibn Abi Talib

Truly in the heart there is a void that cannot be removed except with the company of Allah. And in it there is a sadness that cannot be removed except with the happiness of knowing Allah and being true to Him.

And in it there is an emptiness that cannot be filled except with love for Him and by turning to Him and always remembering Him. And if a person were given all of the world and what is in it, it would not fill this emptiness. Ibn al-Qayyim al Jawziyya
